Visual Identity

Your visual identity is the part of your brand that people see. This is your visual toolkit of sorts, that consists of all the things you will use to communicate your brand and its products and services. It is one thing to have all the elements to communicate with your audience, but the visual identity guide, or brand guide as it’s more commonly known, is important to ensure you are helping to build your brand every time you communicate or engage with your audience.

Our standard brand guide is great for a small business and is less than 4 pages.

For larger organisations, a more detailed brand guide is developed which expands on the standard brand guides and may include items such as icons, patterns, textures, imagery and delve into the brand’s voice and tone and expand on real-world application examples.

Our standard brand guide includes:

Brand overview
Logo usage
Typography
Colour palette

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the whole process work?

We do our best to make your experience with us as easy as possible. For creative services and graphic design the process is quite simple.

1. Send us an email with your requirements
2. We will get back to you with any questions we may have
3. We will email you a quote with how much the item will cost for us to design
4. You accept the quote and send us all your content and images
5. We get to work and send you a draft which is counted as your first revision (All jobs include 3)
6. We will send you a second draft for your consideration and you can still supply changes (up to 10%)
7. If you have more changes, this is now considered revision 3, we will apply your changes and send you the final draft for approval.
8. You approve the design and we send you the final invoice

Once the invoice is paid we output the final file/s and supply it to you via a web file transfer (WeTransfer/Dropbox) to send to your preferred printer, or in the case of a logo to keep on file for future use.

What kind of files do i get with a logo design?

With a log design we output various file formats for you to use across print and screens.

The standard file formats are listed below.

Print output formats for logo design files:
1. PDF (Can be opened with Acrobat Reader)
2. EPS (Requires graphic design software to view)
3. JPG (A solid white background image at 300DPI)
4. PNG (A transparent background image at 300DPI)

Screen output formats for logo design files:
1. JPG (A solid background image at 72DPI)
2. PNG (A transparent background image at 72DPI)
3. SVG (A scaleable file with design software, for use on a website)

Do i own copyright?

Simply put, yes. Copyright is considered to be transferred to you once the invoice is paid in full. We retain a part of this copyright as the creative agency for the purpose of displaying the work we created. This does not mean we can sell it or do anything else, just showcase that we worked with you and the asset/s we created.

Do you use AI, Templates or Stock?

Simply put yes.

We use AI tools for efficiency and templates to assist us to keep the costs as low as possible for you. This is standard practice and our subscriptions licensing allow us to use these templates to create works for our clients.

All jobs require you to provide images but on occasions we will purchase use of stock vector icons for use in your designs. We prefer not use stock images as most of the time the ones available for purchase are not suitable for use with our local audience.

It is worth noting that use of stock vectors and templates is quite normal and are almost always edited to suit the requirements of the specific job.

If you want original designs, without the use of a template or vector stock, please discuss your requirements with us as this may fall into a seperate skill category like illustration etc. and a quote will be provided based upon your requirements.

I put the logo draft into a AI tool and i want to use that one, can i?

Depending upon the AI tool you used and the licence terms of that tool, you may very well be able to. However please note that if you have commissioned us to design your logo and the job is not complete, full payment is still required as our time and creative skill has gone into the artwork and proofs that were supplied to you.

Copyright of any final files (or in this case the draft is deemed the final file) has not transferred to you till the final invoice is paid.

You should also be aware, that we can't vectorise the logo output from the AI tool for you as the tool may have differing licence terms.
